Allen Foster

CBM

Allen has been prayed for in his work with CBM for many years. In 2006 Allen was appointed Executive Director and International President of CBM and now works from the International Headquarters in Germany.
Other members of St James give practical support to the UK branch of CBM, with its office near Cambridge. Brian Hall and Tim Brooks are trustees of CBM.
Some financial support has been given to projects of CBM.
Cynthia Reed distributes prayer news of Allen and Brian Hall is the other local contact.

Helen Sinkinson

CBM

Helen is working for CBM, an international Christian organisation helping to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities and their families in developing countries. She is based in the International Office of CBM in Bensheim, Germany.

CBM enables people with disabilities to access and receive necessary medical care and social rehabilitation, find livelihood opportunities and increase their level of acceptance and participation in community life.

Seeta Garung

International Nepal Fellowship

Seeta, a Nepalese who studied business at Manchester University and is based in Katmandu. Seeta is currently (2010) INF Worldwide Acting Executive Director.  Alsion Craven is the local contact and spends several weeks each year as a consultant with INF in Nepal.

Pascal and Janet Frésard

Wycliffe Bible Translators

 

With their children Daniel, Rébecca, Timothée and Joanna based in Brikama (The Gambia). Pascal and Janet are learning the language of the Karon people so that they may ultimately give the people the bible in their own language.  Peter and Rosie Cunliffe are local contacts.

Richard Wallis

Mission Possible

 

Leadership training, literature distribution and working with children and families at risk in the Great Lakes region of Africa and in Eastern Europe. Richard Wallis who heads up Mission Possible UK has worshipped at St. James since 1990

Lendhel Solidao

Jigsaw Ministries

Lendhel is an Anglican priest working with this non-denominational ministry to street and slum children to train other priests to establish this ministry in their parishes.

Mission agencies and institutions supported by St James'
Jubilee Centre

An advocacy organisation working for justice and an umbrella organisation (e.g. for ‘Keep Sunday Special’) based in Cambridge.
The church has supported this work with finance, prayer and promotion of petitions etc. They have their annual quiet day at St James.

Baldaeus Theological College

Baldaeus Theological College, Sri Lanka, is a multi-denominational, evangelical institution providing theological education and training for pastors, teachers and evangelists in a region devastated by war and poverty. Biblically-based training is therefore provided in a specific context with the overall purpose of transforming it by the power of the Gospel.

St James' have been providing IT support, theological teaching, and fincances for running and re-building the college.

Through Faith Missions Men from St James' regularly walk with the Walks Missions

Link Parishes
St Nicholas' and St Luke's, Deptford In 2008 we began an exchange of visits with these parishes in London who are CPAS patronage churches in order that we might learn from each other's differences and rejoice in our unity in Christ.
