the turret clock
The clock was made by W. Potts of Leeds in 1883. There is one clock face on the south wall of the tower and the hour chime is on the tenor bell. There is now an autowinder of the ‘monkey up a rope’ type, and a night silencer is fitted for the chiming. The clock is in good working condition. It had an 8-day going period when it was hand wound and the pendulum swing is one second.
